Fried Pickles #

Ingredients #

  • 1 16-ounce jar of kosher dill pickles, drained and dried
  • 2/3 cup flour
  • 1 Tbsp. of italian or Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Vegtable or canola oil for frying

Instructions #

  • Mix the flour, seasoning, red pepper flakes, pinch of salt, and a pinch of ground pepper in a large bowl
  • Place the beaten egg into a small bowl,
  • Dunk the pickles into the egg and then dredge in the flour mixture.
  • In a deep saucepan, heat about an inch of oil to 350°F.
  • Fry the pickles in small batches until golden brown. Remove from the saucepan using a slotted spoon or spider.
